Domestic abuse support
Domestic abuse has a devastating impact upon victims and children. Children are impacted by seeing and hearing domestic abuse, as well as witnessing the upset and distress it causes.
If you believe you are a victim of domestic abuse, there is support available:
Women’s Aid is a great charity supporting victims of domestic abuse. You can view their website here for information and resources.
Refuge can assist with safe, temporary accommodation for women and children fleeing abuse. Their website has a range of resources and support. You can visit their site by clicking here.
If you are a man who has suffered domestic abuse, ManKind Initiative provides a helpline, as well as information and signposting to support services. You can visit their site by clicking here.
Depending on where you live, there may also be local charities and support services who can provide you with face to face support and assistance. It is worth searching (when it is safe to do so) for local support in addition to the support the above organisations can provide.
